PERISHABLE-FOOD BUSINESS NOW UTILIZES HIGH-EFFICIENCY SYSTEM TO KEEP PACE WITH THE VOLUME OF TRANSACTIONS.
Burlington, Massachusetts – Oct. 12, 2009 – Paragon Software Solutions, a Microsoft Partner, announced that High Country Investor, Inc. owners of HILLTOP Steak House and Butcher Shops selected the company to upgrade its financial management system to the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics® GP. The system transition took place over a weekend so that impact to business during operating hours was minimized. The company was utilizing an older Microsoft accounting system and server that lacked functionality required to manage its accounting processes most efficiently.

Because of the nature of a perishable food business, many transactions happen quickly. As well, approximately 200-300 vendor checks need to be cut on a regular basis each week. The company now pulls sales transaction data from its point of sales system into its much more efficient Dynamics GP system.

“We are now able to handle our accounting process much more efficiently and we are well prepared to handle anticipated company growth,” commented Dennis P. January, CFO for High Country Investor, Inc. the owners of HILLTOP. “Clearly, Paragon has a wealth of experience with system transition of this nature. They made our conversion as seamless as possible, were very professional and were able to handle any trouble shooting issues with ease.”

High Country Investor, Inc. operates three businesses including one restaurant and butcher shop in Saugus, Massachusetts and a butcher shop in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The restaurant has served over 50 million meals since 1961.
